FULL-SCALE PRODUCTION FACILITIES READY FOR COMMISSIONING
Aquaporin today announces setup of its first full-scale production plant at the Danish Headquarter in Kgs. Lyngby.
The new plant will enable Aquaporin to expand production capacity considerably in 2017, and can scale up existing and new Aquaporin Inside™ products. First focus in Production will be Tap Water Reverse Osmosis (TWRO) Aquaporin Inside™ membranes.
After many years of building on a strong research and development base – while also establishing strategic commercial partnerships, the large-scale production facilities not only mark a major achievement for the Aquaporin Group, but is also a demonstration of confidence in the market potential of the Aquaporin Inside™ membranes.
Peter Holme Jensen, CEO of Aquaporin A/S, said: “The new production facilities represent a significant milestone ahead of worldwide market entry. Our product portfolio offers solutions to a wide range of applications for several segments in the water purification industry. It is crucial that we are now able to supply Aquaporin Inside™ products in large quantities to the market – this will be a major focus for the entire Aquaporin Group in 2017”.
Aquaporin moved into its current premises in 2016, where it has a total of 7300 square meter, including research labs, offices and now a full-scale production plant to meet customer demands.
In parallel to the commissioning of full-scale production in Denmark, Chinese based Aquapoten, a joint venture of Aquaporin, in December 2016 launched the Aquaporin Inside™ Tab Water Reverse Osmosis (TWRO) modules for household water purifiers in the Chinese market.
